Contact Us from Our Website

For close to a decade we provided a standardized form to allow web-based personal data collection. In the fall of 2006 it became necessary for us to discontinue using the scripts that made it run. The spammers got too smart for us and it was possible they were using our domain and ISP as a slave server. Since we primarily travel with friends who know our email address, finding a new script that might be SPAM proof was not worth the effort.

Excellent Internet search tools, like Google, cause many viewers to miss our index page entirely and mistakenly believe we know what they viewed. You would be surprised how many emails we get that can't be answered because it isn't clear what portion of our site the writer visited. Accessing our information after a search occasionally leaves a viewer thinking we are a commercial company and must do this or that for them. We're definitely non-commercial and we don't have to do anything, especially if your inquiry seems cold, impersonal, and demanding. We maintain this website as an outing community service, so please treat us accordingly.

If you want detailed information about our future trip plans, you can ask to be added to our emailing list. As we state on our home page, we only organize self-outfitted, non-commercial outings. We reserve the right to determine if someone has suitable experience, equipment, and the necessary skills to help make a private trip work before we include anyone in our plans.

Please do not ask to be added to our emailing list unless you are a tent camper who enjoys roughing it in the outdoors for periods of a week or more and spends time every year doing it. You must be prepared to involve yourself in self-sufficient, make-it-happen, unguided travel opportunities. You will be asked to qualify yourself by giving us some personal information about your equipment, experience, physical condition, training program, and interests as well as your full name, address, and phone number, so you may as well include this information in your email. If you know someone who already travels with us frequently, using them as a reference may help break the ice.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
